Founded in 1948, today ILAB has 23 member National Associations. With 1,850 individual members worldwide, they represent the expertise of the world’s finest booksellers in 33 countries. Only the best are allowed to become ILAB booksellers. With maybe 20,000 antiquarian booksellers on the internet, the high standards required to become an ILAB dealer are clear.

ILAB dealers offer a wide array of the finest books, accurately described and professionally priced, from the invention of printing up to the 21st century, in all fields of interest, in all specializations. ILAB improves professional standards, promotes honourable conduct in business, and contributes in various ways to a broader appreciation of the history and art of the book.
